The Center for Campus Wellness provides a number of student involvement opportunities. Whether that's through our practicum program with the College of Social Work, our ACES Peer Health Scholars program, various internships, or the Student Health Advisory Committee, there are many ways to get involved with our office

In 2018, University of Utah Health announced the creation of Family Planning Elevated (FPE), a statewide contraception initiative. FPE serves to "expand access to contraceptive education, training, and capacity-building for Utah health care providers in an effort to improve equitable, comprehensive, and contraceptive services across the state of Utah."

Many Bennion Scholars served on this year's #uofuSAAM committee. As part of the Bennion Center, the Bennion Scholars program exists to connect the potential of students to the power of community. They recognize the civic purpose of all academic disciplines as well as the knowledge that thrives in communities.

As Peer Health Educators specializing in Harm Reduction, I feel like we're best known on campus for promoting safer party culture, and the aspect of reducing harm when it comes to alcohol and drug use. While those are super important aspects of what we do, in the time of COVID-19, we wanted to apply harm reduction to the changes we've all been adjusting to over time.
