Contraceptive access in Utah during COVID-19
In 2018, University of Utah Health announced the creation of Family Planning Elevated
(FPE), a statewide contraception initiative. FPE serves to "expand access to contraceptive
education, training, and capacity-building for Utah health care providers in an effort
to improve equitable, comprehensive, and contraceptive services across the state of
Utah."
With the COVID-19 pandemic, they recently prepared a pamphlet on where to access contraception such as birth control, condoms during this time.
Family Planning Elevated is working directly with community health centers, pharmacies, and policymakers to ensure Utahns can access contraceptive care in their communities. They are a great resource for your contraceptive needs.
