In recent years, we learned how critical it is to take care of ourselves in order to keep our community safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. As a result, our vocabulary adopted terms from biology, public health, and psychology to talk about communal health. (Remember when 'booster' was something you could add to a smoothie?)

But you may be wondering... what is the difference between caring for your Wellness compared to your Health or Wellbeing? While these terms are often used interchangeably in media, the key distinction is action.

Wellness is the active & ongoing pursuit of activities, choices, and habits.

In contrast, health and wellbeing refer to static states of experience (like test results, bloodwork, credit score, etc.) within the Nine Dimensions of Wellness. 

Working toward our wellness means developing mindful and sustainable practices to bring balance into life and help us achieve our health & wellbeing milestones.
