Our Mission
Connecting individuals and communities with education and awareness of emerging resources to navigate and heal from experiences of violence.
What We Do
In this role, Peer Advocacy Liaisons:
- Compassionately & appropriately respond to disclosures of violence, abuse or harm with survivors in their peer group
- Educate students, faculty, and staff about available support services on campus
- Assist in the development of awareness campaigns (e.g. Domestic Violence Awareness Month, Sexual Assault Awareness Month)
- Promote a culture of empathy and understanding for survivors of violence on campus
- Serve as a representative of the VSA program among their peers & college
- Provide insight about the experiences of the student body & campus climate to the VSA staff
