September is Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, a critical time dedicated to raising awareness about suicide prevention, supporting those affected, and fostering a culture of mental health and well-being.

At the Center for Campus Wellness, we are committed to providing resources, education, and support throughout this month to help prevent suicide and promote mental health on our campus and beyond.

2024 Schedule

Tuesday-Thursday, September 10-12, 2024


Rock Painting

Time: 11 AM - 1 PM

Location: Library West Plaza

Description: Join us in a rock painting activity where you can create designs or messages that resonate with you personally. You can keep these painted rocks as cherished mementos, gift them to a loved one, or leave them in a public space for a stranger to discover.

Alongside this creative experience, we’re also providing information on suicide prevention and resources, including 988 bookmarks, to support mental health awareness and offer help to those in need.

Workshop: You Can Make a Difference

Time: 12-1:30 PM

Location: Social and Behavioral Science Building, RM 116

Description: Join us for a free 90-minute workshop and lunch to learn about how you can make a difference for someone who is struggling with a mental health challenge. We will practice trauma-informed strategies to respond, support, and empower individuals. 

Additional Information: Lunch will be provided. Seating is limited to 40 people.
