About
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM), dedicated to raising awareness about sexual violence, supporting survivors, and advocating for prevention strategies. It is a time for education, community engagement, and dialogue, with the goal of ending sexual assault and fostering a culture of respect and safety.
At the University of Utah, the Center for Campus Wellness, home to the Victim Survivor Advocacy program, leads the campaign each year. We offer various opportunities throughout the month to take meaningful action against sexual violence and strengthen our community's commitment to change.

At Reimagining Healing, we encourage you to find what truly supports your healing journey by discovering the people, activities, and spaces that can help you live life to its fullest.
Featuring over twenty participating campus and community partners, students discover the profound justice in reclaiming joy and prioritizing practices that sustain them through finals season and beyond!

Join us as we host a casual space for students to explore sexual wellness, ask those lingering questions, and feel greater ease with your body!
Compassionate Responses Workshop
Wednesday, April 15th from 3 PM - 5 PM
Location: Student Services Building, Room 380
Description:
This workshop is for anyone wondering what to do when someone discloses that they have experienced violence, abuse or harm.
We will cover topics such as: knowing when you need to mandatorily report, practice supporting an individual during a disclosure, and creating a self-care plan after a disclosure.
Together we will go over these topics, answer questions, and gain skills to reduce further harm during disclosures. After this workshop you should feel better equipped to navigate disclosures of harm, have a clearer understanding of your role as a mandatory reporter, and how to refer survivors to an advocate.
